chrisavila100, forget about your mates peak bhp, its mean fuck all in real world performance. Acceleration is all about torque, rpm and gear ratio - something that the Supra excels at. He may hit those peak power figures at very high rpm but with bugger all torque below that.

Real world performance is all about 'area under the graph'. Compare the two dyno plots then begin to look smug :D

Mine's full BPU and dyno'ed at Rebas Systems after my Nur Spec was fitted. 376bhp fly wheel, 316rwhp at 1.1 bar. Plenty powerful for me. Fuel costs are a factor too.

I don't know if you really feel the difference in power once past BPU until you go for a single turbo. I wouldn't mind a FMIC, but for money money money! Running your car well within its safety/stress limits will at least guarantee reliability and cheaper running costs. Just my opinion.

Mine's an auto TT J-spec Aerotop. The previous owner had done most of the BPU job, except the exhaust, had it all done at either Phoenix/Chris Wilson/Whifbitz. I know its been very well looked after prior to my ownership. Have a look at my garage, its all listed there.

Heckler has hyrbids, 470BHP.

Yup and he was given that figure 20 minutes after I was given 474BHP without hybrids on said same Thor dyno with exactly the same ambient conditions fella. He was 1 of 3 guys with hybrids and a reasonable setup that had their dyno sheet poo pooed by stock turbo's that day :) And for the record it was 395 BHP at the hubs with 374 FT/Lb of torque.

There is a whole debate on the merits of uprated SMIC V's FMICs and I think my conclusion was the results at BPU would be very similar, the gains of having the FMIC in direct airflow would be partially lost by banging warmed air into the radiator and the technology in the newer uprated SMICs was alot better than 15 years ago when the OEM one was designed. Ask Chris Wilson about this topic as I'm sure he has designed a replacement SMIC he must have a lot of faith in to put his name to it.

Gauges wise I'd definitely go with a boost gauge from the instant you alter the boost at all. Mine had an exhaust gas temp gauge which I found handy to keep an eye on as it tells you immediately if you're turbo's are experiencing excessive heat. An AFR setup was next on my agenda. Other gauges look nice too. UK spec cams are allready better setup than J-specs so you won't see as big a difference but if you are investing some money you can't go wrong with the HKS ones.

Water injection isn't an expensive option which affords you a bit of safety when running the system a bit closer to the edge.
