Petrol creeping up again.

£101.9 for Optimax this morning, but nobody seems to be shouting about it?

Reckon we should turn the big Sunday morning JAE cruise into a all lane 20/30 mph (or whatever won't piss the police off too much) slow down of the roads in protest! ;)

Its Israel and the campaign against lebanon. They're dragging Syria and Iran into it so the whole of the middle east is on tenterhooks at the moment. That is what is pushing prices up.

Usual stock market rubbish. There is no actual problem there just 'might be' so the fuel companies, already making billions a year get to make even more money.

I accept they don't make big profits from the petrol stations but at those profit levels it is clearly all coming from the refining. Essentially they are making the billions buying their own products for inflated prices. Shocking really.

The middle-east

Well yes ;) hehe but I mean when was the last time there was actually a genuine threat to petrol supplies (bar the fire in this country lol). It's any old excuse of an arab fighting someone to put up the petrol prices by another few pence, then spend the next six months finding reasons to keep it that high, why they continue to post record profits year after year :(

shell is 1.01p here today, the cheapest being sainsburys super unleaded (97) at 96.9p

somehow sainsburys down in leicester is always the cheapest for super and regular!

106.9 for BP (Shell was closed) :(

Heard on the news a few weeks ago that there's a schedhuled increase in September, bloody hope that it's not a further increase on these prices. Might get the supra converted to run on blood! :swear:

Yes that is a further increase Ro.

I reckon a fuel strike is only going to be on the cards - if the price per litre of say 95 unleaded reaches silly figures ... £1.30 a litre or something.

A fuel strike would've happened long before now.

Still not right. It's the same ol' story of the Government saying - "Let's screw the British public for as much as we can get. Get them to pay for our fuck-ups. And get them to pay for our pay-rises."

Gordon Brown .... he's like a turd that won't flush.
