Tom
Well after selling my Pride and joy I decided to come to Thailand(clearly the obvious choice, lol) I've been here 3 weeks now and at this very moment it's absolutely pissing it down, I've never seen rain quite like it! Other wise the weather is hot, and so are some of the lady's(I'm pretty certain they are lady's?) I've rented myself a bike out here and if anyone else is planning on visiting it really is the best way of getting a around!, I havent seen any supra's BUT! I've seen 3 S13's 200x's with supra 2jz's in and all with mighty big turbo's! they are part of a drift team here in Thailand and one of the guys drives his car around town everyday! I'll get some pictures of that when I can It also seems that engine conversions are a major thing out here, there are numerous skylines with 2jz's and 1jz's and even volvo's(really old ones) with 1jz's too! Anyway I've added a few pics of Thailand so far, I've taken over 300 pics but i've picked out a few favourites, And by the way, a warning, if anyone is heard disrespecting the Thai King here in Thailand you get 7 years in Jail! The pics so far, That'll do for now;) But I'm guttted I'm missing out an JAE!!! Tom.
Tom
Actually no it won't I should post the pics of the bugs and stuff! This was massive! Oh almost forgot I seemed to have adopted some kittens while here, they come to my place everyday for food!

Tom
Thanks, I actually bought a new camera with the money from the sale of the car, I'm really studying photography hard at the moment! anyway it's a Nikon D70s which I ordered with the 18-70mm lense, but I bought a new lense out here which all the pics were taken with as the range was too small on the nikon, the lense I bought was a Tokina 24-200mm aperture 3.5-5.6 I believe. I bought the camera from from rankhour.com from searching on pricerunner.co.uk it was almost 200 pounds cheaper than places like Jessops, the lense was from a kodak store here in Thailand. If your considering buying this camera I'd probably buy just the body then get yourself the new nikon 18-200mm, its 500 pounds but would be the best deal as it saves you from buying and changing lenses over all the time, but I take about 100 photo's a day so it's not just the camera you know! Tom
Where about in Thialand are you? I have only been to the islands and would like to go back and see some of the mainland apart from Bangkok. I'm actually In Hua Hin, it's about 3 hours south of Bangkok and it's on the east coast, it's a nice place and from what I've seen it looks much better/cleaner than Bangkok, the beaches are pretty nice and there a 3 naitonal parks within an hours range, waterfalls(pic above was the pala u falls) and the town has loads of nice friendly bars, this part is renowned for the great sea food. Definately worth a visit

"Smoke on the waaaaater! Fire in the sky" yeah It was pretty hard to get right! had to take a load of pics changing the shutter/aperture settings to get that, cool look eh? And yes I am!, just travelling around! seems to be the best way imo!

Are you doing any particular course at the moment? only that i'm thinking of doing photography in September - getting proper camera type stuff for my birthday hopefully. I'm not sure how I'd feel about being on my own. I'd probably want someone to share the experience with but equally I suppose it's nice to have your own space. Good on you. Tom
My brothers just come back from there and said the weather in the last couple of weeks hasn't been that great. Very nice photos Yeah it's been up and down, this is the rainy season though, I got sunburnt yesterday, but my 1st few weeks here were great, all sun and no rain for 3 weeks! I think the peak of the rainy season is october so anything from nov to april is the ideal time, Charlotte;I'm not on any particular course at the moment but I'm going to be going to night schools locally to me, I had thought about uni in cali for 3 years but it's sooo expensive! tbh though I really don't want to be 'taught' photography jus the terms as otherwise I feel your just carrying on from what other people do where as I'd rather come up with my own ideas and methods etc Yeah I agree with that, my mates did the usual 'yes will definately go' then when it came to the crunch 'no money' cant' 'do it etc!' they only made it as far as newquay where they are right now. Schtuv
And by the way, a warning, if anyone is heard disrespecting the Thai King here in Thailand you get 7 years in Jail! If I remember, the 'dissing the king thing' even extends to not taking care of your money, as his image is on it ... Looks great! Don't forget to make contact with the people at http://www.supraclub.net/ over there!
Green Peace
'Tell me about the lady boys ...oooohhh lady boys' (soz line from Allan Partridge couldn't resist) Wow sounds like you are having a great time, those pictures are really great,I wish id bought the D70 its a much better piece of kit in my opinion than the Canon 350D it was just a bit more expensive but I Wished id paid a bit more and got one of them, might sell my Canon and put my money towards getting a D70..the CCD seems much better than Canon's CMOS. Tom my brother is out there 'Flying planes to keep his hours up!!!!!' (in or near Phuket i think)i dread to think what else hes doing, if you see him give im a clip round the ear lol..you cant miss him he looks like me but not as good looking and much older ha ha. Looks an amazing place to visit...maybe one day when i pluck up courage to get on a plane again i'll try and do that area, would love to visit Japan and Russia one day! Take care, look after yaself mate, above all have a great time ..post some more pics up soon...! Si (-:

Green Peace
I'm not sure how I'd feel about being on my own. I'd probably want someone to share the experience with but equally I suppose it's nice to have your own space. Good on you. I thought the same to be honest, id always been on holiday with friends and family...I started by staying with someone i used to work with in Southern Spain and really enjoyed the journey on my own, (in the Supra of course) then i got the bug to go on my own to France (though stayed with some friends out there too)so not quite on my own all the time. But I can imagine its a whole different experience on ya own on holiday, you can just deciede what you want to do and where you want to go every morning, you tend to get up earlier in my experience and you make new friends so much easier and before you know it you are clubbing out with new mates...if ya go with ya g/f or b/f you just end up worrying all the time about them and wether they are happy.... Toms really brave to travel to all these strange places on his own, its charector building..its something I wished id done at his age! I love reading his travel logs, we want more!!!!!...this is what you can do when you sell a Supra ...lol....I spent mine on camera gear maybe we should start a thread 'What would you do with the money if you sold your Supra and didn't replace it with another car' More pics please they are amazing...Im more of a Dog person but loved the Kittens....and that long wormy thing looks real scary wouldn't want that crawling up my leg at night lol, there was strange things like that in Kenya...huge Spiders etc yeeeelp lol. Tom
Thanks for the nice words Si yep loads of crazy bug things here, no spiders yet which I'm suprised of, I havent been chased by any dogs or monkeys in the forests for the last 2 days so I'm pretty happy about that! Schtuv that's very true about the money thing, I have looked on that website but all I get are pics of meets?, I'll see if signing up opens up to a forum, yep I've got a few more pics and I finally managed to get pics of a nice S13 with the 2jz, no pics under the bonnet though but it had been recently featured in a mag I bought here. It's pretty damn hot and sunny today so I think i'll go down to the beach and lay under a palm tree Only 2 weeks left now! I would have liked to have gone closer to this temple but I thought I had better respect the Monks that were in and around this magnificant building, it sits right at the top of hill, this is the view from my apartment; And this is as close as I dared go to! Nick
[qimg]http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h174/TDRAPER7/DSC_0682.jpg[/qimg] Is this the only pussy you could find? Great pictures, and Hua Hin looks really nice, haven't been there before. You should see if you can go into the temple. If it's open to the public then they'll welcome a Farang to come inside and give merit. It's great up North as well, I spent a few days in Chang Mai and had a great time. Hired a "car" (what was left of it...) and drove up to the Doi Suthep temple in the mountains.
loks
Booked for a week in Chiang Mai at the end of October and looking forward to the change. Fed up with being chased around by ladyboys in the usual places I find myself at in Thailand Don't know what it is but I prefer my girl friends to be female Great photos Tom and Hua Hin looks a pretty nice place.
