Nice job, but why you let your car get in that state in the first place, i know red fades but would it not have taken a couple of years for to get to that state? unless you just got her that is

I didn't, I've only had the car a couple of months so I'm just catching up on the work the previous owner should have done.

As to how it was done - it's a respray - because they had got that bad there was no paint left to tcut so it had to be a respray

i did my runaround (flat red polo) with G3 then red colour magic, the colour lasted for months without even washing it. thinking of giving it a wash soon and itll come nice and red again then! it was very chalky / white before the G3. left loadsa swirls though!

Best to keep wetting the G3 as it can be a bit course as it dries to a paste. Also cut with a finer compound afterwards to get rid of any swirls.

Don't use T-cut.... doesn't break down properly and you risk going through the paint...

After using G3, you should use a much finer polishing compound to remove the swirls it induces... Something like a G10 or a poorboy's SSR2.5 which will get rid of all the swirls and scratches. And then a good wax and seal it in, if you don't put a good wax on it after mopping you will leave the new paint exposed and it will discolour quicker.
