Amazing grace
Twice today the accelerator pedal has pushed itself down, only the smallest bit. The first time I thought I was imagining it but no it did it again, could this happed as I have just had RLT fitted this week and all the wiring in the car was altered including the ABS, I am not trying to blame anyone here before any of you think I am. But it was disconserting nontheless? Any suggestions would be gratefully received, is the car safe(as I do the school runs in her?)

Matt Harwood
Sheena, none of the work for a RLTC install is on the drivers side, and the wiring only connects to the injectors, (which, when active are breaking the circuit), and the ABS... But if you would like to pop it back over for a quick check-over, you're more than welcome. As far as I'm aware, there is nothing electronic that could physically move the throttle pedal itself. Even cruise won't move the throttle pedal. (although it can feel like it is, if you have your foot resting on the pedal.)
TLicense
I've found that my throttle position sensor has been sticking. Sometimes it revs to about 3000 rpm and won't come back, so I have to key off or on, or sometimes blipping the throttle seems to help. Sometimes not. TLicense
All, I've still got the strange aceleration problem. Basically If I gently touch the accelerator when the car is cold, the revs rise to about 2000 rpm and will sometimes continue to slowly rise to about 3000 rpm and maybe onwards if I didn't key off. When it initially did it "blipping" the throttle a little would stop it but this doesn't work anymore. It only happens when cold, and if I push hard down on the part circled in red in this picture (not my car I hasten to add) the revs return to normal. OK is the assembly circled in yellow the throttle sensor? The little piston circled in red seems to go to some kind of dampener? Maybe a vacuum spring? Could mine be shot and letting the revs rise when cold? Am I talking a load of old dogs....? Looking forward to your replies. P.S. How do you guys attach a picture to the actual post?
