RobSheffield
Are there any people on here in the TA? I need info, website is a bit short on info - maybe thats a test to see if you are observant
stupra
I'm not in the TA, but there are a few reg's around my way. I think there are age limits (34, but might be wrong), an i think you still need to pass some kind of BFT. It also depends on what you wanna do mate, Infantry, Bomb disposal, that sorta thing. Andy-No-Knee
I'm in, and have been for years, and reg before that. What do you need to know? Alternativly follow this link. http://www.arrse.co.uk It is the British Army Rumour Service website that will have more info on it under the TA heading in the forum. Stupra, if your not on it, join and have a look through the naafi. You will love it!
SupraStar 3000
to join the TA I think you need to be able to complete a physical test which is actually quite hard for a fat bastard like myself. They sent me a physical exercise kit which was quite helpful. I see if I can find it at home
Andy-No-Knee
It is called a BPFA. As many sit ups in 2 mins As many press ups in 2 mins Mile and a half run. The scores for all are age dependant, and then used as points to grade you. Red - fail Amber - needs work Green - pass Not all units us it as a bar to joining, as in if you dont pass it then you dont get through the door. Others use it as a guide, and let you join as long as you improve on each time you do it you would be ok. I'm in London so if you want more detailed info on London units pm me.
