Daston
you guys have it easy I work in local govenment I have to ware shirt and tie in an old building with thick double glazing and no air con (as its wasting tax payer's money).
mathew
interesting thread this one. the company im working for at the moment had a guy die on a job through a heart attack yesterday morning and it is being looked into whether or not the temprature played a part and if so how much of a part. Although there a no official rules about working in high tempratures many companies have their own policies so maybe worth reading up on the companies health and safety policies. ivan
I've got a portable aircon next to me. The only trouble is that it's pointing away from me towards the server farm and all I get is the hot air off the back. :(
toyotatom
At this time of incredible heat outside, please spare a thought for those of us that HAVE to wear fire suits and flame retardent clothing all day long. No going home early or longer breaks either. "Just carry on as normal", thats what my bosses say.
