Jake
Yeah the fire will have been faked, same as the car wash that supposedly caught fire a while back. Same as the crunch sound effects they add to incidents.
RedM
Didn't spot myself. Yet! Will run though the audience shots frame by frame to be sure though.
lockys96
funny seeing it happening just up the road from me, if i knew, i would have tried driving past to get on camera, lol
ivan
Yeah, me too. Especially as the Frampton Arms used to be one of my haunts when I was at Bovington. Sooo many roads I recognised too. PMSL at the caravan fire. When they started out on the road I thought "They're bound to blow it up at the end."

garetheves
Was probably one of the funniest ones yet, but i do agree that i think the campsite bit was rigged.

Thorin
That Vectra faster than an M5, bollocks. It's like when they had that supe'd up range rover racing some car offroad and it "won". Even if the range rover was racing on the tarmac with the other car it would have still gotten anihiliated (I forget what it was now). The caravan bit was pretty much completely staged. Oh Clarkson accidentally forgot to put the plates away properly, oh silly us we forgot to attach the caravan up properly again. Sorry but I think Top Gear's trying too hard to out-do the terrible 5th gear too much when it doesn't need to. Going down hill IMO. The Toyota F1 car was good, wish I could have been there to hear that! Other than that though when are they going to review some decent cars again? They'll end up reviewing people carriers like "Pulling Power" if anyone's seen that.
garethr
The Vectra IS faster than any number of high performance German cars ...... but only because it's not limited to 250 kph / 155 mph. Top Gear's "comedy" features are in danger of taking over the whole show. Still, according to Richard Hammond's column in the Mirror, he crocked himself in an incident on the test track, so that's something to look forward to. (Sorry Hamster, didn't mean it. Just a set up for comedic effect )
Gaz Walker
That was the best episode yet, I know it was staged by they didn't half pull it off well Gaz.
Thorin
Top Gear's "comedy" features are in danger of taking over the whole show. Agreed, I want to watch a car show not a sit com.
MrHanky
It is getting a bit silly now, but I still think its great. Fifth gear is ok to watch and is brilliant compared to Vroom Vroom which I have thankfully only seen once.... terrible show Mark
michael
One of the chaps in the office is a gaylord camper type, he's in the Caravan Club - apparently the last issue of their magazine had a big article gloating about converting Clarkson to camping.... I wonder what their reaction to the final cut will be?
Rob
It might all be staged but it's purpose is to get across the message of how stupid and pointless caravanning is. I think they acheived that, but I'd have liked to have seen a bit more "ferchrissakes pull over when there's more than 8 cars behind you, you selfish bastards" type stuff. I think the bollard accident may have been real though?
Thorin
I think the bollard accident may have been real though? I don't think so, where they were pulling out of that junction it looked like they'd just driven up the kerb. As they were going to torch it anyway I doubt they'd be too bothered about hitting a post.
tbourner
Didn't he say there were only a few expensive saloons as fast as the Vectra? What about an Aristo?

outatime
I think Top Gear may have finally 'jumped the shark'
garetheves
Didn't he say there were only a few expensive saloons as fast as the Vectra? What about an Aristo? But surely the Aristo, being a Jap import, would be limited to 112mph
