Angarak
Just been browsing through eBay and came across someone selling a set of 18" 9 Spoke alloys from a Lexus GS300. From the description, sounds like this set has the wider dished rear alloys. Current bid is £62.00 (4 bids), the end-time is 23-Jul-06 14:11:52 BST. The item location is ACCRINGTON, United Kingdom. Im not the seller, nor do I know them. Ben-san
Dunno Martin... it states that they take 255's and they do look concaved. I'll send out for more photos.
Branners
well thats conclusive proof that those wheels can look crap on a car, they really dont suit the LS400 at all. They do look good on a mkiv though. JB

ChrisR
PS: You can get hold of aluminium TTE center caps for these alloys to replace the Lexus badged ones. Where from? direct from TTE or something It also appears these are just silver alloy colour and not the gunmetal and polished ones, i could be wrong. Angarak
These wheels will fit over UK spec brakes (see pic). The ad says they have been refurbed previously, so this may explain why the finish is different. The TTE center caps can be purchased directly from TTE (http://www.tte.de). The Part No is AM27533. They are (or where when I purchased mine) 16.57 Euro each. I'll send out for more photos. 255's on the rears will more than likely mean that thyre 9" rears, as 10" rears which are the wider ones will have 265 or 275 tyres. Just had another look mate and they're defo 9" rears and 8" or 8.5" fronts. You want the 10" rear sets which are more concave.
Jake
Those wheels weren't made in 9" width, only in 8.5 and 10" Those eBay ones are certainly 10" rears and 8.5" fronts.
wkdtime
Jake, they did come in different width, there was a thread about this somewhere, Take a look at the rear wheel pics on ebay, the tyres fill the wheels very well and theres plenty of sidewall, 10" wheels with 255 tyres then the tryes will be stretched to say the least with no side wall. Jake
I must've missed that thread. I was told by TTE that those wheels are only available in 10 and 8.5 wide. As the manufacturer they should know for sure.

Maybe misinterpretted the thread im thinking off, But how can you explain 255 on 10" wheels which is not recomended purely because its far too skinny for the wheel and you will have a very strethed tyre look, if you look at the pics the rear wheels have plenty of overhang. Your probably right, but it just doesnt look right.
Jake
I wish the concave ones were available in 9" because I could use them on the front then. According to the 'Rimwidthulator' at Chris Longhurst's Car and Wheel Bible 255/45/18 tyres should be fitted to wheels from 8.5" to 10"
wkdtime
mmm i wish i could have posted the link to that calculator in this thread,http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=68327 I was told its dangerous! Let me know what you think Jake. BTW according to the Supra tire fitment guide (Excel version) 255 is too narrow for the 10" wheel.
Jake
It wouldn't be dangerous at all. It would expose the rims to damage though. I prefer to have the wider sizes of tyre for the rim so that the tyre protects the rim from kerbing. I have 285/35/18 on 10" rears and the extra tyre bulge of the sidewall really helps avoid kerb damage. Narrow tyres on wide rims looks odd to me but I know some folks like that look. Angarak
Only 12 hours left - currently £216 (11 bids). Could be a good purchase if you can get them refurbed for a good price, your looking well over a grand for a new set without rubber. Though it would be a good idea to clarify with the owner if the rears are the 10" wheels.
