Mcgoo
Hello all. Does a boost controller increase the boost to its set level through all the gears? The reason i ask is on my j-spec TT6 BPU (without boost controller) I only get maximum boost in 6th,5th and somewhere close in 4th. 3rd,2nd and 1st gets a spike in the right direction but then settles at a lower level. Is this normal is it ? (think it is) If is will a boost controller make any differance?
Suprasteve
mine does this and i have a boost controller It ranges from 1st gear 0.95 to 6th gear 1.2 also if cruising in 3rd then plant the pedal its sometimes boosts higher than if giving it some throughout all gears. I'm pretty sure some of the new more expensive boost controllers allow you to set boost levels for individual gears (i believe my mate has one on his R34, i'll try and find out)
wez_p
the Apexi AVC-R will allow you to set different boost levels for each gear and can also learn the characteristics of your car to try & smooth out the spikes as it finds them not sure about other electronic controllers

Need4Speed
What condition is your IC in?
Nic
The Blitz i-color or combination of the Blitz SBC IDIII & Blitz Power Meter, allow you map your boost settings against speed. This automatically adjusts boost settings so that you get maximum boost in whatever gear you are in. I can supply any of these at very good prices, contact me if you would like more details. http://www.blitz-performance.com/Blitz_SBC_iColor.htm http://www.blitz-performance.com/Blitz_Boost_Sbc_id.htm http://www.blitz-performance.com/Blitz_RMonitor_Powerid.htm
