Thats the problem. Isreal have far too many weapons which disturbs the balance in that part of the world. Not to mention that when the isrealis bomb the crap out of neighbouring countries, no one blinks and eye-lids...you can understand why it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.....and obviously no progress with the peach process.....isnt that a surprise. I was listening to BBC R4 the other day and John Humpries was interviewing some Isreali defence minister...and saying that reports have been uncovered that the isrealis planned to attack well before the two army soldiers were captured..... Ok guys now that talks came to This way then let me tell you something, Israel wont even dream to attack Iran as they now what the bloody Iranian Government is capable of (Im originally Iranian by the way) and I have served 2 bloody years as national service in that Army, and yes Iran helped lebonan to get on its feet (right or wrong its all poletic and not fancy to remember all the shit about it), and I think Iranian wont attack Israel either but will keep helpin out the mid east and Im sure they still do. In the end guys I have seen many bloody wars and have seen many friends and family been killed for nothing,.... and here with Israel is just the same , whos gonna die?!!! ofcourse all the kids,women and those who going on about their own life and dont even know what this fuck up is all about, and Im sure if Israel didnt have the USA behind they wouldnt be as harsh as they are now. That's genius!! You can imagine them all strolling around just outside the compound gates shaking bit's of loose soil out of the trousers or robes, whilst whisteling the Lebanese equivalent to the great escape! Am I right in thinking that there's national service in Israel? If so that's a bit of a shitter for the soldier's involved. If they enlisted, then that's tough shit. They signed up for it. If some foreigh national soldier came to the UK and was say killed by a street thug, would we reasonably except them to come and start attacking us with missiles et all until we handed the culprits over? Probably not. But then you could say there's a lot of history there, so you could say that the Lebanese have been provoking the Israelli's for years. My question is why didn't Israel let the Lebanese government deal with this? There's no way the Lebanese government could condone the actions, and if they did then I could understand Israel getting pissy with them. But to just launch in, to me, seems like they were looking for an excuse. It's also a little unfortunate how Iran has been dragged into it all, especially with the USA spoiling for a fight with them. This really does have the potential to turn into a great big shit fight, and I've no doubt that the UK will be more than willing to get involved. How come they live peacefully for 1000s of years.....without any issues. You got one thing right about the land.....was NOT their land to give in the first place... Plus like the US...Isreal is a bully....they wont recognise an democratically elected government.....amazing isnt it....when will these "civilised" countries make up there mid...sometimes they try and instill democracy as a saving grace for all civilisation (IRAQ & Afghanistan)...when it doesnt suit THEIR agenda, they refuse to accept it. But the Lebanese kidnapped an Israeli solider, as far as I've understood it everything was going fine until this happened. Surely, if the solider had not have been kidnapped, a reaction from the Israelis’ would not have been required. If the media is to be believed I support some sort of military reaction by the Israeli’s, though I cannot condone the carpet bombing that’s been taking place. Felt sick when I read about the children killed in yesterdays bombing Random fact: My brother in laws father was a Lebanese warlord, until he was assassinated.
