Terminator
I have several sets of stock nuts, if a set would be any good?
Supragal
Hi Termy, thank you but I am pretty sure they won't fit IIRC the problem is my alloys are seated and the nuts I have have kinda square bottoms. I presume what I have is standard ones already but it did come with aftermarket alloys so not 100%
andrew7
Hi Termy, thank you but I am pretty sure they won't fit IIRC the problem is my alloys are seated and the nuts I have have kinda square bottoms. I presume what I have is standard ones already but it did come with aftermarket alloys so not 100% SG I have a set of SSRs and my nuts are standard tapered nuts. Have you got a pic of your nut hole (nothing personal )?....
Supragal
Thats the problem my nuts aren't tapered (haha) does that mean there are 2 standard types of nuts?
Jake
does that mean there are 2 standard types of nuts? No, only one type. Just phone Ibrar, he'll sort you out.
andrew7
Thats the problem my nuts aren't tapered (haha) does that mean there are 2 standard types of nuts? I didn't mean standard Toyota nuts, I just meant standard tapered nuts, as opposed to flat nuts with no taper......
Supragal
Ahh I see. So where did oyu get them? Jake I thought the idea was to post up here so that traders could say what they had and therefore I get the best deal instead of just going to one trader and potentially paying more than necessary
andrew7
They came with the car SG. Standard wheels for my car (Soarer) have a flat nut on them... Can you take a photo of one of your nuts and also one of the stud holes in your alloy, just so we know exactly what you mean by "my alloys are seated and the nuts I have have kinda square bottoms." You lost me a bit there...

garethr
I'm guessing they are like squllions of pounds for a new set?Only if you're buying the standard Toyota nuts from Mr T at 5 or 6 pounds each.. Aftermarket ones? About 25 quid a set off eBay. The thread is 12 x 1.5 IIRC.
Supragal
Cool, will do that if no-one has a second hand set they want rid of Thanks.
Stu Storm
If you have a local "A1 Motor Spares" shop then you can pick them up for £1.50 each, but ask for the one with the 1.5 thread width (as gareth rightly said!) and they should know what your talking about! (that is how they match up locking nuts to your specific vehicle!) I had the same problem last week but i have now seen the light! lol!
