Guest shinryuhoshi
My 93 Supra had its antenna broken off so all that's left is a small hole where the antenna used to be. When it rains or when I wash my car, water would go into the hole. Should I seal it up or is it fine the way it is?
eyefi
it drops into the inner rear arch which has drainage. bung it up though, or put a clothes hanger in it

Soonto_HAS_soop
I don't know what the weather is like in South Carolina, but if I was you, then something similar to the new merc styled aerials would be my first idea. Ben..
fastnfurious
the rear inner arch has drainage? does it requires any rubber plug to be removed in order to drain the water or it will flow out naturally?

fastnfurious
ha ha... that's a good one mate! but seriously, i need some confirmation about the possible water leakage via the antenna (due to faulty rubber seal) which got into the rear inner arch and if it will drain out itself otherwise rust will be an issue later... Class One
the rear inner arch has drainage? does it requires any rubber plug to be removed in order to drain the water or it will flow out naturally? The electric aerial mast has a drainage tube the runs into a drain hole. When I replaced my electric with a stubby the hole in the rear arch was left open and i used silicon sealant to seal the rubber brommet to the body. I had no leakage issues. fastnfurious
thanks for the great infos mate and glad to hear about the drainage tube. since my hand couldn't reach the rear inner arch (due to those metal plates blocking the way) and boot compartment all stuffed up with ICE, i'll assume the water will find its way out via the drainage tube...
