Alex Posted October 26, 2001 Share Posted October 26, 2001 They jack the car up so the wheels are just off the ground then they use a certain type of wheel balancing kit to check the balance of the wheel whilst on the car so it should also take into account any defect in the axle etc.. Jaguar do this when suspension or tyres or wheels are replaced in a service... If you get the right kit it in theory should be better than doing it off the car...but its not something any normal person could pick up on.
