hogmaw
I would truly love to see some kind of 'clarkson on america' type program. He might be a bit of a twat, but when it comes to taking the piss and a bit of straight talk, he does hit the nail on the head sometimes. Poor americans, they think they know it all, but they haven't the faintest idea
hogmaw
Oh and by the way, I know how stig feels. I was arrested in Texas for trespassing on the desert. The DESERT FFS!!! Wilderness, middle of nowhere sandy nothingness full of rocks, sand dunes and cactus! Apparently, it was private land. Cost me 3 days of my life in jail. I ask you! Scoboblio
3 days!!!! For walking on sand? What did they think you were going to do? Sell it to the Arabs in exchange for guns?
Green Peace
Im sorry but I have to agree with him whole heartedly... Denny's do make great Hash Browns, but he failed to mention..Carrows where everything comes with Strawberries even Breakfast...imagine eating fried eggs swamped in syrup and Little Strawberries added into the equation, Im suprised the Stwaberries havent filed a law suit against the Fried eggs, or sued the Syrup for some kind of injustice towards them and the redundant hash browns...then then (no I havent finished yet) theres a motorway restaurant bewtween L.A and San Francisco.... Well you know we have Welcome Break and Moto every few miles selling dead flowers and allday breakfasts that have literally been there 'All Day' After 100 miles of Motorway they have (wait for it) 'Andersens Pea Soup' I thought the hot weather had got to me there i was driving towards the mirage of the horizon and on a giant 100 ft Bilboard above some kind of Motorway stop was 'Andersens Pea Soup' So I pulls in sits in the restaurant and some waitress 'Hi How you doing whats up?' comes upto me and I say..'have you got anything other than Pea Soup? and se says 'yes Chicken and fries' im like 'oh ok Ill have that' then she says 'but the pea soup comes free' im like 'well its ok i dont like Pea soup' shes like 'you will love our pea soup, its got fresh peas in it' im like no really i really wont bother with the pea soup' shes like 'HAVE THE PEA SOUP MUVVER FCUKER' lol Sorry got bit carried away lol..yeah America ...no place like it in the Universe lol...got some good friends in Pennsylvania though which i regularly take the piss out of and they return the gesture he he (all friendly fire lol)

Charlotte
He is funny. Strange funny. Clarkson? He was on the 'F word' the other day cooking with Gordon Ramsey in his house and he was very strange, as was his particularly annoying young child. China Man
every waitress, waiters are so nice over there. They see the money in you because you pay tips and thats what they earn. Service become so fake it is like paying tips to see acting...

CJ
I find him very amusing and his writing style appeals to my sense of humour but the sad thing is, if he asked that same question in this country (name 2 European countries) he could very easily have got the same inane answer. Scoboblio
Not sure I agree CJ.... I think that even the average council estate chav could answer that. BUT ask them to name 3 US states, or 2 Asian countries and they'll probably be in trouble. As with the Americans, it's answering questions about topics that don't directly concern us that we struggle.
tbourner
Anyone read his books? I got half way through the world according to Clarkson and it was pretty good (didn't stop because it was rubbish just had no time).

My point being that you can find people in every country who are not quite as switched on as one would hope

Gamer
People are people. Being born in one country does not make you smarter or give you immunity from stupidity.... Clarkson has no problem pointing out all of the faults in this country when he does his gripe shows. Yet that is not as 'interesting' to some of you as it is to find fault with other countries or cultures.
Scoboblio
True, but Clarkson's rants about America seem to always concern the average person in the street, where as he mainly has a go at the British government.

lust2luv
Denny's hash browns are good, but I prefer IHOP's with mushrooms and onions. I'm salivated at the very thought.
