Ewen
Jane and I will get a dog (when kids are finally fledged and Fuzzybutt (cat) has expired). I like Spaniels, she likes Boxers. We will probably end up with a compromise:)

garethr
Love Boxers, but if the one my father had some years back is anything to go by, they act like puppies until they are about 3 years old. Rocky ate his way through the kitchen door once My dad always wanted one since he was in Palestine after the war with the Paras. The British forces used Boxers as guard dogs, and they weren't trained just to bark Took him 40 years, but he got one in the end.

Big Ads
interesting breed my family have had boxers for the last 20 years so love them to bits especially the temprement but they are a little OTT sometimes Mike Looking at getting a dog but not sure what breed, what do you mean OTT? in what way? such a cute dog tho
Jake
I guess he means OTT because Boxers are so energetic and playful. They require a lot of attention and patience. They can be right little buggers if not kept under control. Lovely dogs though, definitely on my list of possibles when our great dane has popped his clogs. ChrisR
they act like puppies until they are about 3 years old A bit like Wiemaraners then, although my 10 year old still acts like a puppy. We have another one who has just turned 3 years old and its like she was given a sensible pill
