Jake
Easy as that? So they aren't actually green LEDs then, just white ones with a green plastic filter?
Supra ST Myster
cheers dude, glad you like them!! think you must of hit the gas pedal on your second shot lol The odo is actually a turquoisey colour without any filter infront of it. As is the digital clock.
Jake
So are you saying that you didn't change the filter? Mine is definetly green
Supra ST Myster
yeah filter has to be changed, if there is no filter in front of it, i.e remove the standard green one, the actual odo is a turquoisey colour, but you also see all the circuitry of the digits through the gap which isnt nice! Jake
So if I wanted this done to mine what is the deal, do I send the parts to you or do you just supply the bits?
Supra ST Myster
I can come to you and install all the bits or you can come to me, takes between 3-4 hours for everything.

400BHP
I looked into this, replacing all my instrument illumination with blue bulbs, but they weren't very bright, so i used clear ones without the green rubber filter. They aren't LED's as standard they're bulbs, except the activation LED's above certain buttons (heater controls). I replaced all the bulbs, in all the switches, now they are orange...! LED's in the switchgear or instrument cluster (for backlighting) wont work because of their beam width, which is very narrow compared with a filament bulb, and they run at about 3v whereas the dash is supplied with 12v. I tried to fit them and it only lit up the area directly in front of the LED, not the whole dial.

Cause i got rid of the stock traction control butterfly and everything else !!!! Its an SAF-C not the II version The led's im going to use in the dash are straight replacement bulbs not the sort of led that you have to solder in place . The leds in the heater have all been changed and emin ran EL wire round the dials and thru the back of the switches so they really glow blue !!!
