Hi

I have recently purchased my first supra.

Having never owned a auto box before could someone pls explain the overdrive button to me pls? Also should it be on or off for everyday driving?

Thanks

Mate, have a look in the FAQ section for a thread titled "Explanation of the overdrive button"

When ON it just means you won't get higher than 3rd gear, you won't get into 4th unless it's OFF. Have fun!

Isn't it wierd how it's sort of 'backwards'. I was going to suggest that it's the reverse of that but really the button should just be labelled "O/D", rather than "O/D Off" then it'd make more sense. "If you turn off the off button, then it's on" (IYSWIM). Or perhaps we're confusing the warning light with the switch function itself. Damn I'm thinking too much, I think I'm tired.
