Free exhaust for repair

I've an exhaust that needs repairing, which Im offering free to whoever wants it. Its still at the garage that put my new one on, and they have given me a week to collect it or I can ask them to scrap it.

Its an Apexi Dunk Megaphone 130 series cat-back (no photos but visually similar to the Dunk Megaphone 115 Series, see pic below and web).

90mm OD mild steel inlet into stainless can with 130mm OD outlet. Straight-out outlet. The stainless rear can is in excellent condition, but the mild steel pipework is rusted along the top where the rolled seam is. It is repairable. All flanges and hangers are in place.

Its all in one piece so its long and heavy so postage will be fierce, and Im not able to deliver unless very local to me. (Wimborne, Dorset)

PM me if interested within a week or so, or the exhaust gets it.

nay bother, i will collect.......

......you say its one piece from 2nd cat to tail pipe!? i'll check how long this works out to be, as i may need to do some seat removal or boot modification work on the Pug 205 workhorse!

The main 90mm tubing is made from a rolled sheet with a welded seam along the top edge by the look of it (the top of the pipe being closest to the underside of the car obviously) The entire seam is rusty, with about six / seven holes right through. The garage offered to weld it up and promised it would be fine, but I went for a new one....I wouldnt waste members time if it was a scrapper, it is repairable but it aint mint.:)

Yep, came off in one piece...cat flange dont look too bad, but I dont think theres a second joint flange further back.

lol, mine has a rust hole in it, sailed through mot

I reckon I could have bodged it and passed, but then I got an itch I had to scratch...

Tentatively placing a toe on the slippery slope.

did you just want a new exhaust,

i have no idea how mine got through

A holey exhaust can pass as long as the emmissions are ok and that its still structuraly sound. My MOT caught up with me and I had to make a decision fast...new or gamble
