Grazer
Took the Supe out this morning, and after installing my new dials (pics here) as per Hooper's instructions (here), my speedo doesn't work. The needle rests snapped when I was trying to swap them over, so with the engine off the needle sits around 6 o'clock, and when I turn the ignition on, the needle jumps up to zero - then it just sits there. No fluctuation at all - and the odometer doesn't clock any miles. Quite handy for keeping the mileage down - but not so handy for speed cameras All the other dials work fine - any ideas? roscodav
possibly connections of the back? I had a number of extra wires into mine which i guess were for the import conversion. They were very easy to knock off.
Grazer
There were a few extra wires, but I thought I had secured them all on. Guess I'll have to take it all apart again to check Anyone got any other suggestions before I take it all apart and put it back together! Supra ST Myster
Does sound like a bad wire as the wire from the connector on the left hand side of the gauge cluster as looking at it from the front, blue/red is the speed signal wire, which then also goes to the odo, so check this wire, possibly the converter if you have one?? Grazer
Problem solved - ignition & speedo wires were the wrong way round - doh Now I can see how fast I'm going I also got around to wiring up the backlight on my Greddy boost guage - think I'll go for a drive in the dark tonight
