Just changed my clutch and flywheel to aRPS MAX 6 PUCK stage 3 clutch kit and a fidanza 14 lb lightweight flywheel, It is working fine but I get a horrible rattle noise for the gearbox yet it was fine before the change. If I press the clutch the noise vanishes and if I moved the gear leaver the noise quietens down a lot.

Has anyone had this when changing a clutch etc? If so does anyone know the cure???

Uhm its usual that the

TRD Twin Plate Clutch

HKS Twin Plate Clutch

They rattle alot at idle, its the way it is....you can set your rpm idle to higher level to get rid of some of that, to about 1,350

Iv read alot of this on SupraForums in the US.

I myself have the TRD and it rattles alot..

And we changed all the parts, everything is new at my clutch.

And its same for the RPS as i know...

Search about it at http://www.supraforums.com or on here also ?

Im geting used to the sound now, only enoying is when my friends keep asking what sound that is...

"Its a racing clutch that hadles over 600 bhp"

It sounds like that.... duh. :)

Edit:

Fidanza makes a reasonably prices lightened flywheel that will make a noticeable increase in power in your Supra. It comes at the expense of tranny rattle between 800rpm and 1,100rpm. I've set my idle to 1,350 and there is no rattle. You can also press the clutch pedal in when stopped to avoid this rattle as well. This tranny rattle can sound as bad as a diesel truck, however on some cars it is barely noticeable

My fault, the sounds is coming from the lightened flywheel....
