Jake
It happens. GreenPeace's Green Supra was regged as a W plate but was really a 1996 model, iirc
garethr
At least they are advertising it as a '93.
Jezz
Picked up a 55 reg mr2 rev 3 turbo the other week. Rare as you like. . Dvla are getting sloppy on registering imports i think. Seen a few miss-reg's lately.
jamesmark
TBH I really do not see the point in not allowing you to have areg that makes your car appear younger, after all the log book has the exact age of the car on it whats the point in being so strict about a reg plate. Jake
The motor trade are against it, the (powerful) new car motor trade I mean. If you could make your older car appear newer than it is it would affect new car sales in a couple of ways that aren't in their favour. The whole switching to number plates changing every 6 months thing was bought about by pressure from the new car industry.
Soonto_HAS_soop
Plus you have the loophole with private plates and the DVLA in order to get a newer plate.
toyotasuprauk
Would be nice to have a Supra with a 53 plate. Only problem everyone that knew anything about them would think you just stole the number plate to commit crime etc.
