Mike B
Recently fitted a set of Rotora 355 6 pots and while they do a stunning job at breaking I'm a bit concerned that they have a big effect on the handling over rough roads. When driving over rougher country rough roads I'm getting what can be best described as chop or wheel bounce, as if a shocker was out. It really skips around. The front end suspension is 1200 miles old, new poly bushes, new koni shocks, tein s springs... and ahem, 19" wheels (yes I know not the best) is the increased weight of the disk and caliper likely to cause this? Paul Whiffin
Are you sure they are heavier? The KAD's I sell are lighter than the stock setup. Just wondering?
Mike B
Hi Matey, The calipers are not but the disks are - I didn't put them on the scales though - remember I'm going from Jpsec to 355, there is a lot more metal there! Just wondered if anyone else has noticed the same. To be fair the roads round here are apauling... my poor old soop feels like its driving on sections of corrugated iron.. TLicense
Too much unsprung weight. Going from J-spec to AP Racing 6 pots, I didn't get this. I didn't check at the time, but I'm sure the AP's were lighter than stock
Mike B
Too much unsprung weight. That's what I was thinking - is there a lot of difference in rotor weight between brands - you'd think they would all be market hyping it up?

I didn't check at the time, but I'm sure the AP's were lighter than stock was inches away from AP - maybe it's just my roads and the 19's don't help I suppose. My next sup will be 18". Alex
Unsprung weight = Everything in that area...ie the 19" wheels Are the bigger discs on Ali bells?
Mike B
Unsprung weight = Everything in that area...ie the 19" wheels Are the bigger discs on Ali bells? I hadn't thought of it like that.. are 19" really that much heavier than the 18"s? The disks are on alloy bells, I guess I've just passed the maximum weight allowance with the wheels as well...
