Bobbeh
We deserved to win that, the way the guys played after Rooney was sent off was brilliant. I disagree, we didnt do anything when he was on the pitch before he got sent off. To me they've looked like a team thats sadly has a total lack of confidence with playing with each other. Hargreaves was man of the match for me.
stupra
Ricardo was superb.....nearly saved all of them. Unfortunately Robinson stood there with lead feet. Lets be honest though, England havent played good football throughout the tournament. I agree to both of those mate, but the guys done well to keep the score nil nil, even after extra time with one man down, an they nearly scored a couple of times. Was unlucky. Jezz
I think they're appaling as a team. Have been all tournament. Lampard needs sackin off for starters. Bye bye then sven.
Steve
Hargreaves was man of the match for me. Have to agree with you there mate, ran the whole pitch all the way through

Bobbeh
True, but seriously we've hardly created anything in our games. I am optimistic for Euro 2008 though - with some decent management.. I think Ericsson totally ballsed up his.

Kopite
Not good enough. Bunch of individuals rather than a team although that was the best performance so far (hardly says much). New manager, new formation please.
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
shit so gutted cant see ronaldo hanging around the premier league too long
Jake
I wonder if Rooney will get castigated as Beckham did?No. CRonaldo might though. Hopefully. Stroppy little cunt. I hate him even more now, I didn't think that possible. Hargreaves, Ferdinand and Terry were all MOTM for me.

Bobbeh
Yeah, we had a v good defense (most of the time), a big positive to come from this tournament. I think this is Germany's tourney now.
imi
CRonaldo might though. Hopefully. . Sorry guys, he plays to win......he was onto Rooney even before the start of the game....psycing him up. Thats the difference between first and 2nd. Look at Schumacher, Mohd Ali, Aussie Cricket team....all the best sportmen do whatever it takes to win. - cant shoot ronaldo, he did whatever it took to get rid of the dangerman - i.e Rooney. Rooney should have been smart and let it be.
Big Ads
Ronaldo is in for it when he comes back to manchester, whether i agree with or not i think he will be the scapegoat not rooney. gutted.
dilocruzy
Unlucky guys, making it to penalties was a damm good job I think... Though you really were having rost "porks" today... Hope you are all cheering for Brazil now Dan
dangerous brain
Problem is England never bother actually playing unless they face insurmountable odds. In one competition its a rampaging argentina in another its only when down to 10 men. Its the same old story every time. I really don't know why the commentators were overjoyed that we got it to penalties, Englands best chance was to bang one in the net when they were playing. We have yet to win any game on penalties and funny old thing this one was the same. Anyone watch the commentary footage after the game? See the bit where Ronaldo nutted Rooney in the side/back of his head on the centre line just before the start of the game?? I think that boy is gonna be on the transfer list pretty rapid style. Bobbeh
Yeah DB, I saw that.. not very sporting from a teammate of Rooney.
stupra
The England team need to play more often, to get used to each other. On paper they're one of the best teams in the world, but there's not enough time spent together. Lennon's a good player, quick an skilled, he should get more time in games in the future. dangerous brain
I laughed when Shearer said he was expectin Rooney to lay one on Ronaldo at the next team event

I totally agree, but you can only blame Ericsson for that, swapping half the team out during most friendlies.
chilli
omg what a game. Ok so England have not managed to put in the team performance so far, but their effort especially with 10 men was outstanding. it felt like we had a chance to score in extra time before the penalties. I was never hoping for penalties, we allways f*ck them up without doubt ranaldo is a little c*nt, he was trying to wind rooney up from the start and the portugese were all over the ref everytime something happened. ref was good, but... rooney should not have gone off for that, it was scrapy but he was playing for (and mostly getting) the ball against 2 other men it was f*cking ronaldo that came in and was straight on the ref, causing rooney to react, but it wasn't anything more than a minor shove ffs! merckx
We didn't particularly look like scoring before Rooney was sent off, England haven't played very well at all in any of the games. Rooney couldn't do it alone up front! Beckham didn't so anything, I'm pleased he went off . Lennon played well when he came on. What was the point in having Walcott in the squad if you don't play him? It very stupid of Ericksson to take insufficient cover for two forwards coming back from Injury!
