Todd
Right, have a friend that has given me a budget of £400 to buy a PC for them. Not a big issue as they don't need it for gaming or anything demanding but a decent HD for storing music and photos would be a plus. Now for the rant, onto dells website as a starter, bugger me but no wonder folk get confused buying a PC these days, that site is a minefield and it's easy to see how folk end up with the wrong PC and spend far to much:blink: Gave up after 20mins and after speaking to their call centre I defo wouldn't buy one anyway, pushy aint even close. So, anyone on here sell PCs that could get me a good deal on a budget of £400 quid? Cheers Todd
Branners
If you are struggling then I found that Watford Electronics 'Aries' series of PCs seem pretty good. They are running almost the same chassis as the Dell units and come in at a good price. try http://www.savastore.com as thats their web site. I bought their cheapest PC for my dad about 2 years ago and its still running like a dream. My main recommendation is get 1gb of memory to allow for the next version of Windows when it finally comes along. JB

Lewis
If you decide what components you require, I can either buy and build or just build it and ship it for you. If you want a dell without the hassle then weare resellers for them. Just let me know. Lewis

Reason I'm stuck with this one is because I built her last PC a few years back, I stopped building them as it was eating into the homelife so much and you kept getting folk phoning you at silly hours because they forgot to plug their printer in:rolleyes:

Probably get them cheaper from places such as http://www.overclockers.co.uk and http://www.novatech.co.uk
Todd
Looked and clocked up what I would need and even taking the cheapest of the cheap I can't get it under £440 and that's including 17" tft at £111. Now I remember why I gave this up...lol Thanks though Ben, I know what your getting at but it's not for me and as soon as you build one for a friend of the family they assume it comes with 24hr support
