jaymdee
Hi Martin, I'm looking for a new one, as I'm having the AC done with new & refurbished parts (inc compressor, cheers) to safeguard against future failure (gonna cost a fair bit for labour). If you have a new one, I could arrange to pick up over the weekend. cheers J
Ibrar Jabbar
I fitted a good used expansion valve and compressor to a customers car last week and can carry out the work at a reasonable cost if your interested. It is always best to change the receiver/drier while you at it.
jaymdee
Cheers mate, but already booked in at Air Con place in Bath for next week, who have refurb'd a used compressor for me. I've ordered a new valve from Toyota, asked for 10% discount and he gave it to me no problems!! thanks for the offer though. How long would you say the whole task should take? What does the guy actually need to do to remove/replace compresor, drier, valve etc?? Don't want to get ripped off and pay for needless work if he removes stuff he doesn't need to. Thanks for any pointers I can pass on which may save some pennies Edit - yes I've got a new receiver/drier too J
