xksupra
Does anyone have any experience of these, I'm thinking about getting one. Mainly concerned about reliabilty issues, I know the older ones can be a nightmare! any thoughts appreciated Ian
hogmaw
never known why anyone would want one... but I am sure you have your reasons, there must be a forum for them online somewhere which could help you?
dangerous brain
Not really a lot of information available online. There can be articles about them in landrover international magazine. Try top gear website. I have a 97 4.6 HSE and I am chuffed to bits with it if that helps. Look on ebay theres just as many aftermarket bits for em as supes lol. Green Peace
Even if I won the lottery I cant think why anyone would spend that much on a 4x4 Chariot... Beautiful car..but...If I had £60k to spend on cars Id buy a Corvette C6 and a s/h Landcruiser Colorado like i own..does the job is very comfortable..had touchscreen sat nav fitted and wont lose too much money on it, and not scared to take it off road if i need to..coz I know it will survive. If I was forced to buy anything landrover brand new id go for the LR3 Discovery with a G4 kit they use on the Camel Trophy...winch, light gaurds, plastic bullbar kit, spots, plastic fenders, high level airintake thingy (whatever its called) rear ladder, and under car sump/engine gaurd...would cost almost the same as a new Range Rover, but you still get all the luxeries like factory fitted DVD sat nav, phone kit, and all or most of the toys... There is one cool option on the Rasnge Rover which is a wireless camera kit that you can place on a trailer or withing 50 or 60 feet of the car..called Venture cam..which is cool but only available on the Range Rover... I have not driven either..but wouldn't mind finding out how you get on...try the LR3 and the Range Rover...on a test drive.... Could also consider the LC5 Colorado (thats the luxery version with air suspension etc I think) or the Amazon (though I think the Amazon although tried and tested is a bit huge for my liking) Si

MrAngry
A friend of mine has a new Vogue model. She is forever taking it back to the garage to have things repaired under warranty. It's turning into a bit of a nightmare to own, for her.
Kittyclaws
The older ones have a 70% chance of rolling over when going above 40mph,
merckx
When they've tested them on Top Gear etc they've said nothing but good things about them.
dangerous brain
Thing is you park the brand new disco's next to a p38 rangey and they look pretty damn similar, have the same interior space, much more modern kit and far better interior, nice wheels etc etc. Me personally if I was going for that new a landy I'd get a top spec disco, you'll be getting a lot more for your money.
