nismo_lp
Has anyone ever heard of a tyre spliting to the outer wall ... just before the tred starts?
Alex
If it is to delaminate it's usually through under inflation or taking a hit such as a kerb or pothole.
merckx
This can also happen if the tyre is too wide for the wheel.

Bobbeh
I had a set of Pirellis that were 2+ years old, well wornand had been around the Nurburgring, there were splits around parts of the tyre where it had begun to come away at the side wall. I made sure last year when I got back that they my new set were checked and they were fine.
nismo_lp
Just a bit gutting spending £200 on a tyre and only covering about 50 miles not money well spent!
Bobbeh
Oh, thats bad, sounds like you got a faulty one, unless there was something in it?
Soonto_HAS_soop
Contact the supplier, could be from a bad batch, my brother had a set of tyres and 3 of the 4 had bubbles appearing in the side walls, he had a full replacement set due to there being a bad batch of tyres from the supplier.
