Justin
Is there any point fitting an aftermarket BOV onto an auto ? The only time it actuates is when you snap the throttle off under load isn't it? Let me know if you have one fitted to an Auto and how good it is for you. Branners
the BOV on its own on an auto wont make much noise, it makes some but not a lot. Combine it with an aftermarket filter though and the noise drastically increases. JB
oxygene
Ive got an HKS BOV fitted and i think its ok....If you change gear it dumps then. I am waiting for the inserts from Gaz to make mine a bit louder
Stu
JB will mine be that much louder after I've had the induction kit fitted..Don't want it too loud:)
veilsideTT
Mine dumps on auto gearchange, the Traction controll system closes the throttle slightly on gearchange to protect the tranny. thus creating back pressure in the system = "Dumpidge" Its a very short one though! After a while of getting used to it, you can learn to let your foot off the pedal at the exact time of gearchange and then back on before you loose any useable power! This creates more back preasure and gives you a better and longer sound. Waiting to be corrected on the TC system (Could be ECU retarding)

Still, would take me more than the nice sneezing noise to get me to hand in my Aero Roof.
veilsideTT
seriously dude, i thought the same as you. but im well happy with my SSQV now on my auto. You can dump when you like! (No Jokes Please!!!)
Terminator
My SSQV dumps a lot It makes plenty of sound and I have gone back to a stock air box with a race panel filter. It makes much more noise in manual mode because you are supposed to lift off momentarily between stick shifts. It is quite easy to make it sing with your right foot too. I'm shocked???? Didn't think it was your thing? Did you get a KN filter too? Mines due replacing and I'm wondering which one. Don't want a big sucky thing that brings in half of East Anglia's agricultural deposits into my intake/engine. But don't want exces oil cooking me mesh thingy either. I need to pop round for a demo me thinks

pulse
HKS SSQV + Apexi induction = cool Mine makes a nice dump, either when I floor it and it changes gear itself, or I do it manually, or whenever you release your foot off the throttle while the turbos are spinning. Although not as loud as a manual, it's still far from quiet, especially mixed with the induction kit, mine's a regular sneezing snarling monster these days -p
