I told the post office about my situation but they werent happy about giving me a tax disc nearly 4 weeks before my tax expired..

MONKEYmark
what is this country coming to, all you seem to see is then hitting motorists. does my fooking head in. and they dont do anything about things that need sorting like crime or illegal immigrants. on radio last night they were on about checking the 6000 speed cameras to make sure they are there for accident blackspots and not to earn money. also the rac was on about they should scrap the tax disc and put it on fuel. it seems like a fair thing the more miles you do the more you pay. its just a crap place to be. anyone hear about them not banning you for speeding and just fining you each time. another money making idea for them. hope people start to kick back like with the fuel boycot. BigMoistyturbo
According to the conservatives they're gonna reverse all the anti-motorist laws....YEAH RIGHT! Goverment in this country is a joke! AThe conservtives reckon they're gonna put the national speed limit up to 70mph, with 80 mph on motorways etc.... If they did that, I'd be fooking happy! Adam W
If the tories get in, we'll get pro-car policies, watered down to pander to the anti-car lobby. If labour stay in we will continue to get anti-car policies which are watered down just enough that we don't line the cabinet up against a wall and shoot em. I know which I'd prefer . . . toyotasuprauk
This country seems so anti cars its unbelievable, what the point in crushing them its such as waste. There was a case here last summer where a traffic warden noticed a car didn't have any tax and it was promptly crushed. The most unbelievable part of it was it was French car and they didn't realise it didn't need an English tax disk! Thankfully she got fully compensated but what a joke. Fifty
Taxing tale this one. My third car is an Escort (lol). Got it just after new year from broth who is a policeman but car trader as well:) Tax runs out end of Jan so get docs from him and guess what no v5! Previous owner has crashed it minor damage that bro repaired (cosmetic only.) When he checked wasnt recorded but now is!! @*???& I cant now tax it until it passes a VIC to confirm its ID. but hry ALL THE STATIONS HERE ARE BUSY FOR @least 2 WEEKS!!!. Postmaster stuck white tape onto v5/2 and I tried to tax at Truro DVLA ; no go , all comes back. "youll have to get a VIC done m8!! What a complete load of bollox. Now Ive had to SORN it to stop them fining me!!! until I can do the VIC and get a V5. I didnt half give PC Plod (bro) a scalding. shaf
well to look on the one positive side. at least it would get rid of all those sh1tters and kev mobiles that are lying aorund with police aware stickers on them. WTF is that all about. the cops are aware of it but cant be @rsed doing anything about it cos they would rather issue speeding tickets and make money rather than clean up the place and make no money..... aaaah, i get it, baskets!!!! Nick
I saw the report on the news about replacing road tax with increased tax on fuel and apparently 2/3's of the population are for it. Do the people they asked realise fuel is already taxed at around 400%? Doubt it. Won't be long before people start nicking Optimax trucks and selling the stuff in the pub along with some dodgy cigs....
Barry
I'm all for more tax on petrol as I cant justify paying £180 a year for a car I drive once a week and fill up once a month!
