Paul R
Hi, When people remove one of the cats, is it always the same one? or can either be removed first? Is the first cat the one nearest the engine? Paul.
Rob
I would class the first cat as the one nearest the engine, the downpipe cat. You can replace either with a straight thru pipe, but most people replace the second cat first, purely because it's easier to do.

Paul R
Gimme a chance! I've only had the car a couple of days. My wallet is still recovering! The car will goto Chris Wilsons shortly though for the second pussy to be removed. Paul.
SimonB
If you're only taking one out, I would make it the first one, as it's the most restrictive and nearest the engine so likely to produce the most benefits. Mine hits just over 1.1bar of boost with just no.1 out. It passed it's MOT with only no.2 left in, so no worries there.

It's just the one closest to the engine that is left in... I'm getting 0.9 bar as normal. Paul.
Need4Speed
Sort of a survey here, but how many people are happy to run with both cats out, no traction control, auto box and 1.2bar... in the rain? In answer to the question - take out the first one (better heat dispearsal) and leave in the second. As for taking both out then putting in a restrictor, what's that all about?
