dandan
Hi guys, As above, was wondering exactly where the VIN no was on the mkiv's. Mine's a 96 facelift. I'm not talking about the plate on the inner wing as I'm sure this does not display the actual vin no. It shows: frame no, model no, trim, transmission, paint etc but no vin no. Any pointers? Thanks Dan

dandan
Is that it dude??? How come on the epc program then I can enter my frame and model no's and still get a choice of a load of different V.I.N. numbers? The V.I.N seems to be a 8 digit no. followed by the second part of the frame number. Am i wrong here??

dandan
Well people any ideas? Is there no real VIN no. and what everyone calls the VIN is actually the frame number? EPC seems to suggest otherwise.... Dan
Timwildman
I dont know if this will help but: When I phone the local toyota place for parts, the numbers they ask for are the frame number, and the model number. Thats only, the numbers after the JZA80 bit, so it's 7 numbers and 5 letters. dont know how they get to only 10 numbers? Hope it helps
