dandan
Two questions for the guys running the Ultimate: 1. Do any of you have rpm AND cam and crank feeds wired in? I know you don't need rpm if the other two are connected but is it a problem to have all three? 2. Where do you have your jumpers set for: JP9 JP10 JP15 (is this affected by setup in question 1?) JP16 JP17 Cheers all Dan
dandan
Any thoughts fellas? ps Just found out the girlfriend got pulled over for a police spot check today - emissions, lights etc. Good job it wasn't the Supe as far as emissions were concerned! I never realised this actually happened - thought it was just rumours and scare tactics!
Branners
you might find this is one of those 'tuners secrets' which they wont discuss much.... I was shown the jumpers on my emanage but I didnt pay any attention. JB
Ian C
No secret from me, I just haven't been on the board much in the last few days Yes to both RPM and crank signal. You want the crank signal for ignition timing stuff and the RPM signal for revs. JP9 = Open JP10 = 1-2 JP15 = 1-2 JP16 = 1-2 JP17 = Open -Ian
Guest TeCKis300
What about JP8. Our igniter system is 12V.

Guest TeCKis300
^^ Just didn't see it on the list. That's actually the only real jumper you need to change from default.
Durandal
I'm 95% sure but I will ask anyway. These jumper settings are for J-Spec correct?

legendswraith
the vvti uses the same jumper settings IIRC apart from the ignition jumper needs to be set at 12v rather than the suggestion it gives in the manual

Guest gfrererr13
Would this apply for a J-Spec NA as well? Or would some of these be different? I am hoping to install my Ultimate within the next few weeks...
ballsdeep
Would this apply for a J-Spec NA as well? Or would some of these be different? I am hoping to install my Ultimate within the next few weeks... Can someone confirm if jp8 setting is the same for NA too please, my na-t has been set on 1-2 for a long time now and I'm only checking it now because Iv developed a non starter! Iv narrowed it down to either the patch extension or emu now as I get spark to the coil with it out of the equation.
