Terrible news, Even worse to hear about the recent developments in his condition.

Doctor's have been wrong about this sort of thing in the past, They said a friend of mine who was in a bad crash and suffered massive head trauma would most probably not pull through, and even if he did, he would be brain damaged, and then after a month in a coma came round. and is now fully recovered.

I really hope that this is the case with Karl. My thoughts go out to him and his family.

I don't know the lad but my thoughts are with him and his family. This is the second forum I have been a member of and a member has had a severe accident.

The possibility of having a severe accident myself is something I have to try and put aside in my head when I go to drive a fast car like my Supra as it's stories like these that can make you think and really put me off driving a fast car.

I was a member of Fiestaturbo.com when I was tinkering with my first cars and at the time a member went to buy a 2.0 Zetec Turbo Fiesta, with his dad, from a fellow member. On the way home he overtook his dad and the car lost control. He ended up crashing and passing away minutes later at the scene in front of his dads eyes (I can't even imagine how his dad felt, it's the sort of thing that destroys people and families). I had met this member and I can tell you now it couldn't of happened to a nicer guy, who definately wasn't the sort to drive around like a tw@t.

I really hope he recovers and let me use this opportunity to tell everyone to please be careful out on the road.

I remember Karl's posts well, a bit of a car nut (like most of us here) and full of enthusiasm for all things automotive. Seemed to be getting a new car every months, some better than others ;) He seemed to be a genuine and friendly guy.

Unfortunately this accident is a reminder just how fragile life is.

My thoughts are with him and his family, hope he can find the strength to pull through. Hang in there dude.

This is so very sad. Such a sad fact of life nowadays it seems. Speed kills.

I don't know the guy personally, but I really do hope he gets through all this with only a few scars to brag about.

My thoughts and regards go to him and his family at this time.

Andrew
