It was a ridiculous equaliser and if Ashley Cole would have just stayed on the back post. We're just lucky we have a few gifted players in Cole and Gerrard that have bailed us out tonight that we havent looked a joke.. so much booting the ball up the pitch, its infuriating! Arg. There's no pleasing some people But also, why is Walcott in the squad if he's not gonna be "blooded". chilli Posted June 20, 2006 Share Posted June 20, 2006 ffs that last goal we conceeded was a farce!!! what hopeless defending! we should have kept the lead at 2:1 but some of the lucky escapes from swedish shots on goal, it could have been 3:2 or 4:2 to sweden! I think overall we probably did quite well, after all top of group and avoiding germany is good. But some serious practice on defence needed urgently. It's very easy to say what if. But i think the point of it is that we need to start looking at our set pieces and defence, it was very nervous and shoddy.
