Charlotte
http://www.jstanforth.co.uk/ many a school blazer was soaked in the warm juices of a fresh pie. Is it me or does that sounds slightly perverse? Used to love pork pies when i ate meat. Very nice. Oh and also Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, corned beef, frankfurters and any vaguely cheap meat, no idea why.

Thorin
Love me pork pies. I think the standard of your supermarket pies has gone down in recent years, you can't beat a good one from a local butchers. I don't like the pastry too dry and crunchy though, and there has to be a little jelly but not a lot of it. I might have to venture all the way down to the market at lunch to get one. Ian C
What's the point of being a vegetarian that still eats fish then? Bit Lifestyle Jamie Oliver isn't it? "Ohhh, darling, didn't you know? I'm vegetarian this week, it's soooo 'in'!" Pork pies. Mmmm. Those mini ones in the tube are dangerous. Bite size. -Ian

I have tried to not eat fish but i miss it too much.

RobSheffield
At last, we have the technical meisters opinion on things maybe if we are extra nice to him he can give us dyno plots of the jellified ones (we shall call these journal) versus non jellified (DBB) :D:D:D

Thorin
the jelly has to be quicker due to the added lubrication. Although the jelly may cause the meaty interior to turn slightly more than the exterior due to inertia once the pie has come to a stop. I don't know whether this would have an effect on overall performance. I suspect there will be a fine balance somewhere.
