terribleturner
OK, so i went with the thought that it's just Car Porn. The story, acting and facts were probably going to be rubbish but it was mainly the cars. Well i have come out with a smile on my face and will buy it on DVD when it comes out. Acting wasn't great from the main charactor, the usuall "No Engine" in the first crash etc...... (and the rest) and the story line was lacking, but the drifting was BRILLIANT. If you like drifting or just want to see what the fuss is about your going to enjoy the film. If it had nothing to do with F&F1 + 2 then it would be a great film about drifting, but because it's tied to the others it will be classed as just as bad. 6.5/10 I do warn you all that i did like the first one and quite happily sit through number 2 too, but then i watch them for the car porn. Best part was either drifting round the city or the guest apperance at the end. Worst bit was only 2 VERY small shots of the boot of a Supra
Jezz
Guest appearance? Mr V D? Lol, vd.
RedM
Wasn't the drifting done using CGI?
terribleturner
Yeah, was i nice touch i thought Made me laugh. I'd put money on alot of the drifting being CGI, but still looked good
cainhead
I will put my hands up and admit that I too have seen this and enjoyed the car action. As James said, dissapointing on the supra front but some nice cars anyway. If you like hot japanese girls in not many clothes(mind you who does'nt) then this is also for you. I did think the story was slightly better but still lacking some what, and the camera work on the mountain drifing was very good. Also the words 'bro', 'bra' and 'cuz' were not used in anything like the way they were in the last two films. My favourite bit was also the guest appearence! Happy viewing folks
supraaaaaaaaaa
i just loved the bit when he handed him a box of tissues for when he blows his wad !! :rlol: :rlol:
Guest blueangel
According to somewhere even the drift up the ramp on the car park was done for real.
jim_supra
I really want to see this, will have to go and watch it! I liked the first two films, but I think they had a bad effect on the modified car scene. i.e. painted everyone with a modded car out to be dangerous wreckless, F&F Wannabe etc. Hope this film doesn't do the same to the drifting scene. Gaz Walker
I thought it was very entertaining. If your into cars (which if your a member here, lets face it, you are) its very good. A lot of the drifting was real, they wrecked a lot of cars to do it right. They had 9 of DK's 350Z for example. Gaz.

Im sure there will be cars parked in multi story walls all over Britain by Monday, and the sales of tyres will of doubled.

Homer
Cummon guys, if you're really into cars you'll pick faults every couple of seconds and cringe most of the way through it... surely? I've not actually seen Tokyo drift yet, but the first once cracked me up on the drag scene when the bolts fell out in the passenger foot well. Yup, that happens IRL so often Oh yeah, 17 gear changes to reach 80 mph hmmm. Not to mention the hundred other stupid unrealistic moments. Its not what I call an enthusiast’s movie Now, Bullet... there’s a proper movie car chase....

As i said would post a new thread but not a full member as yet.

how_supra
I don't know what to say, it was OKAY! The acting was terrible, and the only nice touch was at the end, and with the exception to a few "neat shots", it was a pile of cr@p. [sorry James]. My advice is go in with low expections................

MarkTheBoy
Ronin! Now your talkin! Forgot all about gone in 60 seconds too, gonna have to go rent it tonight... great film. Gonna go see Tokyo Drift soon too, bit worried tho, coz when I went to see Fast & The Furious several years back, walked out of the cinema and forgot to bring my brain with me, ended up driving like a complete weapon all the way home, I only had a puma at the time, thank god! Now its all about drifting I now have a Soop.... im gonna die
Gaz Walker
Forgot to mention... Did anyone recognise the fisherman on the docks when Shaun was trying to drift? Gaz.
