Charlotte
No, just spelling for me Don't ask me why I spelt tennis with a capital T either, I guess I'm guilty too! (Did anyone look up whisky / whiskey?) The spell check says they are both right, how does that work then? Tennis with a capital T you should be damn right ashamed of yourself! RIJ8631
But then we're not all bitter jealous twats like the scots that don't support their neighbours. NOT STRICTLY TRUE - I would support IRELAND and WALES at any event. cheers ( whatever your drinking) Ian
Supra-Dupra
We didnt make to the WC but Im rooting for the England after all 99% of irish support some Premier league team. Yet some of my friends, their fav players from the team they support, eg gerard they love, yet when he puts on the english shirt they hate him ! Just the fans I hate, big fat beer belly brits who love to start riots when they lose or when they win.

tDR
Jake - STFU ya wee bawbag Let's leave the anti Scottish / English sentiments there please. TBH, I watched the England / T&T game tonight (at the Cinema!) very much with a feeling of mutuality.... at first.... that was until the damned commentators (English) pissed me off so much talking about England the whole bloody match, full of their own self importance that I found myself rooting for T&T. Honestly, it was like there was only one team on the pitch the way they were going on. That's the kinda stuff that starts all this in the first place. Gazboy
After listening to some scots at work supporting anyone we are playing for the last 5 years, the Scottish football team can go lose themselves.
Nick
I have yet to come across anyone from Scottland, Ireland or Wales that supports England. When we're playing it ranges from good humoured banter, to just plain abuse, but they always cheer for the other team regardless where they are from. Last night for example, in my local and there was an Irish guy cheering on Trinidad and Tobago. Fair enough, each to their own. I've got a lot of mates from different parts of the world, and I wish them good luck, but I support England and only England. I find the whole anti English thing pathetic. Urhg, still hungover. Left the pub at 6am this morning, stayed for the Swedish match. Who won...??

No, it's comments like that which start this crap. Of course, the Scot commentators don't big up their team when they're playing !! If it had been Ireland and T&T would you be saying the same? Doubt it.... Same old cr8p. So far we've played *badly*, and we need to sort our sh*t out if we're to win any more matches.
merckx
Of course I would support my UK neighbours. So what if a minority of people from Scotland, Ireland or Wales don't support us, it doesn't mean we've got to be a mindless ignorant bigot and do the same. andrew7
Now let me get this right. A few guys make it their lifelong ambition to get good at the totally non-productive "skill" of pushing a little ball backwards and forwards for 100 yards.. Then non-participants, who have no real purpose in their lives, or who want to distract themself from under-achievement, or the reality of their own lives, take it upon themselves to devote a great part of their lives discussing, analysing, witnessing certain of those morons who push the little ball around.... It's no wonder governments find it it is so easy to get people to go to war and tear each other to bits.........
MARTIN R
yes for sure, I'd support anyone from britain so long as they wern't rivals for england (i.e. england are out) agreed:)

Why wouldn't 'British' commentators on a 'british' tv channel talk about and support the only 'british' team in the competition??!! Personally, I would support any british team, in any sport as long as they wern't playing against England. I'm in a job where I mix with alot of people from all over britain and my experience is that at least 80% of scotts support everyone that plays AGAINST England and these are all scotts that live and work in England!! Its just SO frustrating!!!! I have nothing against Scotts as people and i do have alot of Scottish freinds (until theres an england match on)
