Matt H
Heres a nice story of frustration with a classic punch line ending: I had heard that electrically folding mirrors were available for the supra, just like the ones on the Mercedes etc. I really facied a luxury upgrade like this, so jumped at the chance when Martin (Lucifer) from MkivStore posted up about selling his he had on his supra as he was stripping It down to loose weight. He ad was: Electric folding mirrors - £200 including postage plus exchange for your mirrors. I contacted him and offered £150 all in as long as he could confirm that there were no scratches on them. He said that there weren’t to his knowledge and they were in good condition. (I was worried as my mirrors were almost immaculate). He also stipulated that I had to send my mirrors first. Fair enough I said, and paypal’d him the £150 pounds. I posted my mirrors to him the Tuesdays after the last bank holiday.. Time passed…. Nothing… tried to contact Martin via phone but that’s a hard task.. eventually on the Friday I made contact. He said he hadn’t received the package.. oh sh*t I thought, carnt believe they had got lost in the post. I hung up and contacted Royal Mail, although they said the package had been delivered on the Wednesday to the correct address before 12.00 noon. Rang back Martin and he said they had defiantly not arrived. Who is right? I rang back royal mail and asked them as to whom had signed for the goods. They had a signature but it couldn’t be loaded on to the system until Monday morning. Monday came and I checked royal mail online… The signature was on screen and Martin had signed for the package himself……ummm I phoned Martin up and told him that he has signed for the package.. to which he was very decent about the matter and said; that even though he hadn’t received my mirrors he would send me out his as he had signed for the package.. o.k then fair play… So, this afternoon, I get Martins Mirrors (they were attempted last Friday but I wasn’t in), which funnily enough had been posted to me using the same packaging I sent mine in to him! Lol, even using the same newspaper packing I had stuffed in there for protection!! So I guess he had received them after all! Here the punch line, and its three fold: Part one: I inspect the mirrors, to find the paint is in terrible condition, scratches everywhere; looks like they have been used are tyres. I was really pissed of with this, but thought f*ck it I’ll just get them re-sprayed when I get my bumper fitted. Part two: Then it dawned on me………….. wait for it………………………… Martins advert was missing a vital comma, in between Electric and folding ie. It should of read: Electric, folding mirrors… not; electric folding mirrors. F*ck me, ive paid Martin £150 to exhange my almost perfectly good electric mirrors for his crappy ones. Its taken 3 weeks to get this far. Ive damaged my front windows getting my mirrors off and due to the time it taken ive noticed condensation on my passenger window when I have had them down and put them back up. So bugger me ive got water inside my door. O.k, to top it off: Drum role please………. Part 3: If I had manual mirrors to start with, the deal would still be sour as……… Martin only sent me the mirrors, not the wiring or the control button for them to work!!!!!!! Bl**dy hell, you have to laugh…….. That’s why ive posted this up, thought everyone could have a good sadistic chuckle to this…………….. Secondly I haven’t been able to contact Martin this afternoon and had to vent my frustration at the situation… To resolve the matter I want my perfect mirrors back from Martin plus a full refund of the £150…. No way am I keeping his really poorly looked after mirrors after he said they were in a decent condition. If need be I will stand the cost of postage that Martin has incurred, I just want my mirrors and money back. That way I loose £40 at most and Martin doesn’t loose anything. I think that’s more than fair after the hassle…..
Soonto_HAS_soop
Not dealt with him personally, but doesn't sound like Martin. Also, just cos it said Electric folding mirrors, didn't mean you were going to get the switch and everything.

Pig
Its always best to be 100% clear on whats involved in a purchase. I sold my active spoiler. I didnt think it involved the button. Luckily enough the gent asked for it. Doesnt sound like martin would risk his reputation over this, let alone anything. Im sure he will give you a FULL refund as soon as he reads this!
