SupraAyf
Hi All, Once my Supe is finished it will be running 1.4 bar through twin stage 3 hybrid turbos. What in your oppinions would be the best plugs to fit. I have already bought the Denso IK22's but I've been advised to use the normal NGK plugs instead. This is due to the fact that the NGK's simply melt under heat whereas the IK22's will deposit a large piece of debris from their tips that will pop in to the engine. Any advice?? Cheer All, Andrew:thumbs:
Tricky-Ricky
A lot of people swear by Denso Iridiums, but personally i won't use them, i know a few people with various turbo cars, who have popped an engine for the reasons you mentioned, due to there small electrodes they have a tendency to damage the porcelain insulator when the electrodes melt due to det, and it these that do the damage, i always go for NGK either platinums or copper. Alex
Whilst mapping use standard copper plugs such as NGK BKR7E's but once mapped I'd use Iridium Denso's or NGK's I'd have used IK24's but 22's should be ok. The NGK Iridiums are BKR8EIX's.

Yeah we dont use Denso IK's anymore as they seem a little "fragile". The NGK IX's are holding up really well.

Never heard of these ones before.. Are they holding up well? Also what boost levels do you think they would be able to take?
Paul Whiffin
We fit the NGK Iridiums these days, much better than the HKS plugs we were using which are just a rebadged Denso plug. Had quite a few HKS plugs fail on us, never done any damage though luckily.
