MR.B
It say HKS 'style' blow off valve so chances are it won't be genuine. Also highly unlikely at that price either.
Feakins
Yeah I should of realised, as Ferdinand would say "you've been murked". It didnt say in the title and I didnt read the article properly. I wonder if it will sell on for much.

Tourniquet
Yeah got the dash sorted Loopy, turned out to be just the fuse so didn't bother pulling the switch out once it worked again. I got the e-bay jobbie coz for £16 I didn't care if it wasn't as good I thought I'd test it on the off chance. Seems fine though, I just wondered where you lot stuck it and if you needed any extra bits as I don't see how the C-clip provided helps. Universal means fits fuck all to me so was just curious
Feakins
Sounds tacky to me "HKS style", how much* did you pay?
johnd-mkiv
The c clip is an absolute cnut to fit but everything is there to do the job i welded mine to the front mount intercooler Pipe work i have installed, if i have any probs with it i still have the flange there then i can replace it with a genuine HKS valve

GeordieSteve
I understand these will be ok at low boost (not all that is cheap is rubbish) but how do they fair at 1.4, 1.6 etc?

Anyone with the cash to go to 1.6 bar, has the cash for an original. So i'll doubt you'll find out.
GeordieSteve
Does that mean they don't work up to 1.6bar?
Soonto_HAS_soop
No, but if you had £3k to throw at a single, would you skimp on the £200 for a HKS, compared to a "HKS Style"? It may well be equally as good as an HKS version, I'm just saying that I doubt anyone with the ability to run 1.6 would have one on to test it. GeordieSteve
I just don't agree that if you have money to spend you have to throw it at the most expensive parts if others will work just as well. Obviously I'd need to know if they DO actually work first lol
