Hi Guys

Took car in to sort my hi fi out been sounding bad for a while.. Turns out bacl speakers were blown and one amp was down. Hifi now sounds great but the heater and air con light up but do not switch on. No lights on them only lights on when you switch the road lights on. Checked all the fuses, never had a problem before could it be the relay ? anything else i should check ? I have check the connections at the back and all is plugged in okay.

Speaking as an ICE installer, they should have sorted it out for you. I wouldn't let a car go knowing that we've broken something. I'd at least offer to pay what ever it costs to be repaired.

Aaaanyway, it does sound like a simple blown fuse. There are 3 fuses that relate to the aircon/heater in the drivers kickwell

Fuses no. 2, 11 and 17 IIRC, but don't quote me on that! ;)

[all them amps going to slow you down lad [/b]

only got 3x 4 channel amps in. I reckon its the speakers that will!!!. Like having the cast of fat friends in the back seats:D

Its just more of an excuse for more power to sub the weight disadvantage

Spec as follows :- I started with 324 standard supra, with exhaust and hks induction on rollers for rev bob talk show.

Spec now....need her rolling again, but just going on what tuner told me.

HKS Super drager exhaust, HKS Induction kit, HKS Super SQBOV Cats removed, Fluidyne Alloy radiator and cap, Greedy, Blitz hard pipe kit. Engine cooler Kit & Oil Filter relocation, Gearbox cooler Blitz FMIC (Front mounted Intercooler). WALBRO 255 uprated fuel pump. TRL Performance DSC and VFCC. HKS, TRL FCD (fuel cut defender), HKS Super AFR, Blitz SBC-ID Series II boost controller.

Does that sound about right or is it way off the mark ?

Roll on the good weather, so i can get on rollers. Would be nice to know.

They haven't put one of the heater control panel plugs either right in, or in at all. Centre fascia panel needs to come off again. As for your quoted power figures, well, made me laugh anyway :D 10 minutes to fix the heater, you could do it yourself if you are careful. assuming my diagnosis is right, and I'm pretty confident :innocent:

Thanks Guys

Managed to sort it. They had check the plugs and fuses while I watched. But removed the head unit and dvd and sitting right at the back a connector not installed. Works a treat again now. Have to see if toyota can cancel my order of a new relay at 26quid.

Chris what is your estimate of power ?

Boost gauge setting turned down from 1.56bar to 1.23 now under advise from John B.

Boost
