mrboost
Hi Guys Took car in to sort my hi fi out been sounding bad for a while.. Turns out bacl speakers were blown and one amp was down. Hifi now sounds great but the heater and air con light up but do not switch on. No lights on them only lights on when you switch the road lights on. Checked all the fuses, never had a problem before could it be the relay ? anything else i should check ? I have check the connections at the back and all is plugged in okay. Rob_B
Sounds like a fuse problem to me. Did it happen straight after the shop had your car and were checking the stereo ? Rob.
mrboost
no happened at the audio shop. They could not work it out, so I'm left with no heater. Typical Audio bods (no offence to ice installers) BUT if you want something done right then your sometimes better off doing it yourself
400BHP
If they Fucked it, they fix it... get your arse down there and kick up a stink, if no joy then open up a can of 1000yr old whooopasshttp://www.openface.ca/bigimp/wupass.jpg
Matt Harwood
Speaking as an ICE installer, they should have sorted it out for you. I wouldn't let a car go knowing that we've broken something. I'd at least offer to pay what ever it costs to be repaired. Aaaanyway, it does sound like a simple blown fuse. There are 3 fuses that relate to the aircon/heater in the drivers kickwell Fuses no. 2, 11 and 17 IIRC, but don't quote me on that!
mrboost
thanks matt.. will check em myself tonight

Chris Wilson
They haven't put one of the heater control panel plugs either right in, or in at all. Centre fascia panel needs to come off again. As for your quoted power figures, well, made me laugh anyway 10 minutes to fix the heater, you could do it yourself if you are careful. assuming my diagnosis is right, and I'm pretty confident
Matt Harwood
I would have hoped they'd have checked that before anything else! - But then again, I'd have hoped they'd checked the fuses too
mrboost
Thanks Guys Managed to sort it. They had check the plugs and fuses while I watched. But removed the head unit and dvd and sitting right at the back a connector not installed. Works a treat again now. Have to see if toyota can cancel my order of a new relay at 26quid. Chris what is your estimate of power ? Boost gauge setting turned down from 1.56bar to 1.23 now under advise from John B. Boost
