Ive got a 350mm Momo Millenium on mine too, tried a 320mm before this one but it just felt too small.

 

Hmmm, wish there was someone near me with a 320mm fitted so I could see how it feels. Like I say though, my current one is small, even smaller than 320mm so I think it'd be less of an issue to me. Choices, choices....

momo is a chav company, but millenium is a 3 spoke that looks similar to standard, whereas issotta looks like it was on first series of star trek/dr who, personal choice i guess, but i would always go for 350 mm, toyota did not make wheel that size for a laugh, steering is much better to use with that size

IMHO Momo is chav wheel, where the isotta is something different.

 

Very odd that somehow people are viewing Momo as "chav" when it aint exactly cheap stuff. Most "chav" cars that I see have Ripspeed, or some other cheap ass make, not Momo. Momo make awesome interior gear, and it seems that as soon as something becomes reasonably common, irrespective of how good the product is, people jump on the bandwagon and call it "chav".

Nah not at all, Ripspeed aint been around long, what more that all the 'chavs' that go about in Timberland boots, Diesel Jeans, Nike shox trainers hardly cheap stuff but they do it, Momo is not that exspensive imo and certainly not out of reach of chavs, does not matter the price of an item if someone wants it then they will have it, and back in my day of hanging around in escorts, fiesta's it was all momo nothing else.

 

Momo is run of the mill stuff used all over, there is no such thing as individuality when it comes to momo, and there designs are certainly not spectacular.

Agreed, the price is not high, but certainly not the stuff that every Tom, Dick and Harry can afford to kit there Corsa/Saxo/Nova/106 etc in. I don't honestly believe there is any more individuality in the designs of Isotta or any other manufacturer than in Momo, it's just that Momo has been around in the mainstream for a while, and many companies have copied their stuff, making Momo slightly less desirable. However I still believe they make some of the most reliable and classy looking car interior stuff around.

 

Besides, I already have the gear knob and handbrake so I'd be silly to get anything else for the wheel ;)

The wheels in the thread may look good, but having owned one and now using a TRD wheel I much prefer the feel of the TRD wheel, ie. better size, chunkier grip and better quality leather.

 

Also the TRD wheel is much harder wearing, my old wheel only lasted about a year before it started to fall apart and look tatty.

WTF? A steering wheel is about how it feels in your hand and safety. Quality of manufacture is also important. The TRD wheel is the best quality, and when the airbag goes off the cover stays on and doesnt hit you a slap in the face, instead the cover rips in a V shape and the bag saves you. I consider anyone who would drive about these days in a 180+ mph car with no airbag, considering only sterring wheel bling totally mad. Its your life, your choice.

Know what you are saying, but if your car does not have an airbag then you can't help it, most important bit of safety equipment in a car is the seatbelt though, i am a charge nurse in ICU and see many accidents where people do not wear seatbelts, airbags are good but in many cases they do not go off and can cause bad injuries, my wife as a trauma nurse in a+e can testify to this. I think that the airbag may prevent some injuries, however if the crash you have is a life threatening one do not think the airbag will save your life, just a few days extra stay in hospital. I had a Stilo abarth with 8 airbags and hit a shipping container lorry side on at 40mph, and because the main impact was rear wheel no airbags were deployed, this apparently saves on repair costs. They are good but are more of a sales push than a true safety item. Seatbelts have saved more lives than any other piece of safety equipment ever. Seatbelt plus abs would be above airbags on my list of safety items if i had to make the choice.Would not complain if i had airbags either however. I would not remove an airbag to replace with a non airbag wheel, that seems pointless.

What bit of "MY CAR DOESNT HAVE AN AIRBAG" didnt you understand :rlol:

 

And regarding the 180mph comment, Blame Toyota Japan for that - cause they had them on the UK car. I agree with Matanna's post.

 

What matters to you is that you like your TRD wheel...
