michael
Are there any countries where football is banned and any mention of it results in death? My pikey neighbours have taken it upon themselves to decorate the garden with a 1000 flags, they have loads of kids round in England shirts and the trampoline is in full use (with associated screams and other noises). All I want to do is watch the F1 qualifying in peace and then mow the lawn (to enhance my hayfever) - I don't give a toss about football but you just can't avoid it
Thorin
Heathen! I'm getting all excited now, £10 on England to win and Crouch to score ...shame I'm at work though, can't sit watching it having a beer.

Branners
Im busy looking for ways to block it at work so Im checking all the web addresses and IP addresses of the video and audio streamers... Im not a football fan. I even have a bet on with my team that we dont get out of the groups stage. COME ON PARAGUAY, WE WILL WIN YOU /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_cool.gif Michael, leave the grassbox off the mover and let the grass blow all over the place, most kids nowadays suffer from hayfever, should dampen their spirits. Terminator
Just got in from a drive, I wondered why there were all these idiots with painted faces about town. The roads are very quiet now, So I guess they must have kicked off. Time to go back out in the car and enjoy the empty roads. I have some paint that is drying, if I get fed up driving, I'll watch that.

michael
Neighbours are either inside now (I presume match has started) or the grass mowing thing worked a treat, I'm going to set the flags on fire later on I think.

Well, a few less chavs out and about at least... well until england win and they start falling out the pubs..
Scoboblio
Here's a great idea for all you non-football fans out there.. STFU, We don't care!!! You're always the first ones to snigger when England do badly, but if you don't like football then why do you care so much about the result? Are you usually all this patriotic? Can you tell it's one of my pet hates when football anti-fans have to make their feelings so predominant?
JustGav
It was always an ongoing battle in my folks house, my dad loves his football and would turn the tv over no matter what regardless of who was playing, so my mum and I learnt to dislike it, just to wind him up.... PS : I don't snigger when they loose, I just don't notice... *grin*
michael
Your opinions are valid, I guess it also means you'll understand why people who can't understand the hype of a little sport DON'T CARE AND DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT EVERY 30 SECONDS. By all means enjoy your little kick around but keep it to yourself, I don't need to know who you support or which player exites your loins. Scoboblio
Fair point, personally I can't stand the merchandising / adverts / every company sticking their nose in. The amount of build up has been stupid. My problem is with the "come on England lose" squad that wheel themselves out every 2 / 4 years. Hating the hype is one (very understandable) thing, willing your country to lose is another
