Advice Needed

I bought my J-spec TT with an Apexi Induction kit on it, i have seen alot of threads saying that there is no point changing the air filter as there is no power increase, and there is more "engine wear" is this true?

Also if i were to change back to the stock box (which i would have to purchase) would it be noticable power increase ?? Im just not sure anymore !!

It is not so much a power thing although that comes in to it.

It is the filtering qualities and the unshielded hot air that gets sucked in to the engine by an induction kit.

I had an induction kit when i first got my sup i really noticed the drop in power on a warm day when pressing on.

I changed to the stock air box and heat related power drop off is much less.
