Homer
Does anyone know a good torrent site? I used to use thepiratebay.org but the torrent files are offline since the US and Swedish goverments tried to take the servers down. piratebits.org is supposed to be one of the best, but I don't know enough swedish to register! I'm not interested in those sites that have stupid pop ups and ask to try to get you to install their spyware..

Homer
torrentspy.org and puretna.com (ermmm maybe for when the mrs is away) n00b torrentspy is one of the network of sites that asks for their client to be installed, which is full of adware. Same for puretna.com

Nick1980
ok, I have a real computer noob question...... how exactly do these torrent sites work? I use limewire, and I assume it's sort of like that, but what the heck is a bittorrent client? Are there dangers of getting viruses and damaging your compooter from these things as well? I just don't understand sorry for the hijack

They're based in Holland now, to avoid the previous issue that got them closed down.
