BASHTHEBISHOP
i would try a complete uninstall - then reboot - then reinstall if you have already tried the given solutions.

letmeshowyou
might sound stupid, but have you checked your system time and date are correct? can sometimes cause issues with messenger

JamesG
Just wait a bit and try later this evening. Sometimes messenger does that!
Kittyclaws
Just wait a bit and try later this evening. Sometimes messenger does that! I agree, had trouble other day, could not log on, and could not get ant msn website up. Also the MSN Live version is still under test i think, so it does play up, i have gone back to version 7.

Thorin
Had that error a couple of times with 7.5 as well as the new "Live" beta. Usually sorts itself out after a while.
