Sean1933
before i get started this is related to a mates cossie and not a supra...but i thought the same principle would apply to all turbo cars and with the wealth of knowledge on this site someone must be able to help! My mate had a dump valve on his cossie and it worked fine. He has just changed it and now the car stalls and does not seem to work properly. HE has tried another one and it does the same. My question is are there different types of dump valves, that work on some cars but not on others? And what is the difference between twin poston and single? Many thanks! Tricky-Ricky
Has the cossie got an AFM? if so it probably the wrong type of DV, it should be a twin piston for use with an AFM, if not it will run rough and try to stall.
Guest gzaerojon
i had this problem with my rs turbo years ago, i fitted a diafram type dv and it kept stalling, so i bought a bailey piston type and it was perfect
Sean1933
Yes it has an AFM. His new DV is a Diaphram type. Tried my SARD BOV and it worked fine! He is just gonna stick with his bailey one i think, even though it sounds just like a Punto GT! Cheers Guys
