CJ
I know that the UK and J-spec use the above injectors but don't know the following: 1. Why Toyota chose a different version for the models? 2. If there is any performance advantage to either or?

Hi Impedance ( saturated) are slower to react than low impedance ( peak hold) but generate less coil heat.
CJ
Hi Impedance ( saturated) are slower to react than low impedance ( peak hold) but generate less coil heat. Thanks Terry. So, given the choice, what would you consider to be the better version? Also, I wonder why Mr. T decided to use two different systems? Guest Terry S
Thanks Terry. So, given the choice, what would you consider to be the better version? Also, I wonder why Mr. T decided to use two different systems? It may have been availability. At the time denso may have only offered 550cc as Peak/Hold, larger cc injectors usually are peak/hold ( low impedance) Take a read through this link I just found, has all sorts of injector tech stuff on it http://www.robietherobot.com/storm/fuelinjectorguide.htm
