Supragal
OMG I'm SO angry. Don't really do shoe shopping but when I do I like Faith shoes. I found some I want for going to Italy so I went into a store and they didn't have the right size so they said try online, now last time I went online it was well shonky so I said I was a bit dubious but I tried again anyway. Found what I wanted, ordered it and it came up with a message saying: "There was a Problem with your order. Approved" So, errrm was there a problem or was it approved??? I looked in order history and it said I had no current orders so I presumed it didn't work so I tried again- this time it said I couldn't place the order because I'd placed an identical one within 24 hours. So I thought that maybe the order history takes time to update, beginning to doubt... I sent an email off- no response. Looked this morning, still no order in my account. Rang cstomer services, all it does is say "there is no-one to take you call try later" and cuts you off!!? what kind of call centre does that? So I rang head office and ended up talking to a snotty receptionist who "could only put me through to the same line" eventhough I chose the option for "customer with an order query" so I was arguing politely with her saying what do i do? how do i know if i've ordered it or not? have they charged me but not sent the goods? are my card details secure? if i can't email or ring, what can i do? write in.... goes to teh same place the emails and calls do. THERES NO ONE THERE IT'S A SCAM!!! So I'm stuffed basically. And very angry. So now I'm going to check my bank account (wish I'd used a credit card but didn't want to put any more on them) and if they've taken the money I'm going to hunt them down and kill them. Or I might just go into a store and take good to teh same value. SO ANGRY!
mawby
Calm down dear, it's only a pair of shoes. Seriously though, unless they are mega expensive I wouldn't worry about it too much. Go and buy your shoes from somewhere else. If these do turn up, take them into the shop and demand a refund. Lifes too short to get all heated up over a pair of shoes. stevie_b
I like Aldo shoes. Especially the knee-length boots. Their high heels are quite comfortable too. I'll buy Jimmy Choo ones if I win the lottery!

Charlotte
My friend had a similar experience with Faith just a couple of weeks ago. They took two lots of money from her card and when she tried to contact them, exactly the same thing happened. Eventually (well infact the next day, cause she's like that) she went into the shop and wouldn't leave until they contacted their head office and sorted it out. I love Faith shoes but i'll only buy in store incase of any issues. I have found Schuh (http://www.schuhstore.co.uk) very good, they always deliver and never any problems getting through to anyone. Hope you sort it out.

Supragal
It's the principal of the thing that winds me up. I WANT to spend money with them yet they seem hell bent in preventing that. Shop won't deal with anything done online. And I don't trust their shonky knocked together website not to have passed my card details to every scumbag in the world. Yeah lesson doubly learnt so much for giving them a second chance... in store only now. If they can't offer a web service than why bother it just ruins their rep. Grrr. Supragal
I shop online loads, credit cards tend to cover you for this kinda thing but I'm clearning all mine down and cancelling so I didn't want to add to them. Talk about hindsight.

stevie_b
Tesco man myself;) I so nearly typed Aldi as well! I get those two shops mixed up a lot! By shoes from eBay. One of my friends buys his underwear from there. Very nice stuff.
Supragal
As long as it's not used it's ok. I like to have seen what I'm buying first though.
